1. brown corundum

2. white corundum

The hardness of white corundum is slightly higher than that of brown corundum, but the toughness is slightly poor. It is easy to cut into the workpiece during grinding. 3. black corundum

Black corundum is a derivative of brown corundum, and its appearance is black. Low hardness but good toughness.

4. single crystal corundum

The grain of single crystal corundum abrasive is composed of single crystal, and has good multi edge cutting edge, high hardness and toughness, strong grinding ability, and less grinding heat. The disadvantage is that the production cost is high, waste gas and waste water are generated in production, and the output is low.

5. microcrystalline corundum

Microcrystalline corundum is a derivative of brown corundum. Its appearance, color and chemical composition are similar to those of brown corundum. It is characterized by small crystal size (50-280 μ m) , with good toughness, high strength and self sharpening.

It is suitable for grinding stainless steel, carbon steel, ball milled cast iron, etc. in terms of grinding methods, it is suitable for forming grinding, cut in grinding, fine grinding and heavy load grinding.

6. zirconium corundum

It is characterized by low hardness, high toughness, high strength, fine crystal size and good wear resistance.

Zirconium corundum abrasives abroad are mainly used for heavy load grinding, suitable for grinding heat-resistant alloy steel, titanium alloy and austenitic stainless steel.

7. chrome corundum

Chrome corundum is a derivative of white corundum, with rose appearance, similar hardness to white corundum, slightly higher toughness than white corundum, high strength, good grinding performance and high grinding precision. The abrasive tool made of this abrasive has good shape retention.

The scope of application is similar to that of white corundum, especially suitable for fine grinding and forming grinding of various cutting tools, measuring tools and instrument parts. Generally, chrome corundum has better grinding performance than white corundum.

8. sintered corundum

Sintered corundum is sintered from fine bauxite or alumina powder. It is characterized by good toughness and can be made into abrasive particles of various special shapes and sizes.

It is mainly used for heavily loaded steel ingot grinding wheel, and is suitable for raw grinding of stainless steel ingots.
